For many independent vape shops, December is the strongest month of the year. Customers stock up before the holidays, buy gifts for other adults and visit more often. This guide covers how to plan your Christmas stock so you do not run out of best sellers. All products are for sale to adults aged 18 and over only.
1. Order early
Couriers slow down in December and popular lines can sell out across the trade. Place your main Christmas order in late November or the first week of December, then top up with smaller orders. Our last order date for delivery before Christmas is 22 December.
2. Focus on what sells
- Prefilled pod kits and refill pods – the fastest-moving lines for most shops. Keep the most popular flavours in depth.
- 10ml nic salts – a steady seller and an easy add-on at the till.
- Replacement pods and coils – repeat purchases that bring customers back.
- Refillable pod kits – popular as gifts between adults and for customers looking to lower running costs.
Check your sales from last December and the past eight weeks, and order more of your top ten lines rather than spreading budget across slow sellers.
3. Mix single units and boxes
Boxes and cartons give a better unit price, while single units help you test new flavours without tying up cash. A sensible approach is boxes for proven best sellers and smaller packs for new lines.
4. Stay compliant
- Sell only UK TPD-compliant products: maximum 20mg/ml nicotine, 10ml e-liquid bottles and 2ml tanks or pods.
- Single-use vapes have been banned in the UK since 1 June 2025, so stock rechargeable and refillable devices only.
- Run Challenge 25 at the till and record refusals. Busy periods are when underage sales are most likely to slip through.

5. Plan for January
Many customers make New Year changes, and demand for refillable kits and e-liquids often stays strong into January. Keep enough stock to cover the first two weeks of the new year while carriers catch up.
